“A Cup Should Never Be Half Empty”

I ordered a panini at Starbucks. They took ages. I was a bit irratated but not overly bothered because I was waiting for someone anyway.
Then, when it finally arrived they gave me a little card with the words “A Cup Should Never Be Half Empty” written on. The barista said “this will give you a free drink of anything, any size. We are sorry it was so late, I told someone to get it on but they didn’t.”

I didn’t complain. I didn’t argue. I didn’t tut. And yet they still thought to offer me something.

I know Starbucks has had a bad press but I really can not fault their customer service at all.
